Desire'e Megrant
Desire'e Megrant started out playing music at a very young age, playing piano and saxophone at George Kay's Music in Joliet, IL. When she was older she was in chorus and church choir, and she also played at youth services on Friday nights at the church she grew up in. Her Dad, that played with Frank Sinatra, B.B. King, and Jerry Lee Lewis, is her biggest inspiration. He was her mentor, music teacher, and she learned so much from him. After being in school bands she always loved to sing. One of her favorite performers is Elvis Presley because he had so much energy on stage. He inspires her to bring that high-energy type of performance to all of her shows. Her biggest influences are Gospel Music. Old Country, Bryan Adams, Bob Segar, Melissa Etheridge, Pat Benatar, and Heart. She won country idol twice for 98.3 WCCQ and a karaoke contest that allowed her to open up for Bret Michaels. She is a multi-talented musician that not only sings but plays the guitar, piano, drums, sax, bass, and autoharp.
